On phones, Cut The Pod's sign-ups left the site and lost their ad source. The fix kept them on the page.

Upwork review, 2024
“What an absolute pro! Hassan understood exactly what my issue was. Something that for me, was so complicated. He made sense of what was needed, confidently went forward and solved my tracking issues quickly and efficiently.”
George BoydFounder, Cut The PodGeorge Boyd edits video podcasts. In August 2024 he was launching a Meta ads funnel for Cut The Pod, and on mobile its sign-up form sent visitors off his site to MailerLite, where their ad source was lost.
A new funnel, and a redirect nobody had seen
Cut The Pod does post-production for video podcasts: editing, motion graphics, sound design and social clips.
George's funnel ran Meta ads to a guide page built in Webflow. Visitors signed up through a MailerLite form, got the guide by email, and could book a call. He wanted to see where each sign-up came from, at every step.
He had installed the Meta pixel in Webflow himself. Shahzada, now Crisper's founder, found the gap: on desktop the form opened in a pop-up, but on mobile it sent visitors to mailerlite.com, where the ad source was lost. George had never seen the redirect.
Keep visitors on the site
The funnel had little traffic yet, so Shahzada left server-side tracking out, to be added later if the campaign did well.
He moved the Meta pixel into Google Tag Manager and kept the pop-up on mobile too, so visitors stayed on cutthepod.com. GA4 and Meta recorded when the form loaded and was submitted, inbound and outbound link clicks, and views of the key pages.
He handed over a document of the event names. When Meta warned that the ad set might get no Complete Registrations, he told George to optimize for the form-submission event instead.
The sign-ups were there
After his first sign-ups, George saw no conversions in Ads Manager. Shahzada showed him the event in Events Manager and in Ads Manager's results column. George had been reading the Complete Registration column.
In October George saw the pixel firing twice on his homepage. Some Tag Manager changes had not been published; once they were, it was fixed. In November Shahzada added a Complete Registration event on the thank-you page, after George's coach recommended it.
Upwork review, 2024
“Not only did he do the job well, but he provided me with a very comprehensive document so that I understand the work he did going forward. I feel like I found the best on Upwork.”
