“It was great to work with him, thank you for your fast work.”
David LarocheElite Adventures Inc.
Elite Adventures sells online Dungeons & Dragons games run by professional game masters on Roll20. Players book seats from an events calendar on its WordPress site. In November 2024 it needed Google Ads conversion tracking built and paid for before a grant deadline.
Tracking a booking calendar with no thank-you page
Bookings run through the Modern Events Calendar plugin, and David Laroche wanted to measure the steps toward a booking, not only the final page.
Shahzada, now Crisper's founder, proposed tracking four steps in Google Tag Manager: viewing an event, choosing one, reaching checkout and buying, plus useful button clicks. He chose these over GA4's automatic form event, which can record false positives. David agreed, and the tracking was in place on 27 November 2024, with a few other issues fixed along the way.
Over the next two days he added Google Ads conversion tags, wrote up the setup, and recorded video walkthroughs, including how to set campaign-specific conversion goals. A test purchase went through on 29 November. Payment was released on 28 November, inside the grant deadline.
Facts come from the Upwork project thread, the project emails and David's public Upwork review. A tracking project by Shahzada Ali Hassan, Crisper's founder.
